Bake the cakes and buy some chocolate goldcoins and some other candy that looks like something from a treasure chest.
Put the candy in the treasure chest cakes, decorate them and they are ready to be served.
The birthday child can easily join in on the preparations by making skulls and bones, putting candy into the treasure chest cakes or perhaps decorate them?
